Hi, maybe Stony can be of help here.
I've tried other 3 times starting from scratch and setting matches' data in the past, but it isn't enough to let me edit player's events in match results page, the players' dropdown column is empty.
Since you've said "Many approaches in the configuration of the project are not correct or have been misinterpreted" I hope you could be clearer and allow me to replicate your suggestions.
There's no hurry, when you have time, thanks.

On the project attached I've corrected the matches' data, but seemingly it wasn't enough waiting for your further instructions...
